As a charity, Clophill Eco Lodges aim to provide outdoor learning for all children and young adults to benefit their educational development as well as their ‘learning 4 life’.

Early Years & Key Stage 1

Seed Collecting

A fun, 2-hour, activity to get young children enjoying the outside and learning about what seeds look like and the best places to find them. £2 per child

 

Natural Art

Get your class enjoying the outside and looking at nature in a different way. The session starts with foraging for natural materials that can then be used to produce a piece of art. This session is free flowing and allows children the freedom to explore nature and art. £3 per child

 

Mini-beast Hunt

Our site is packed with bug homes and natural habitats, allowing nature to thrive. Have your class come and explore our site and hunt for all the wonderful mini-beasts we have around us. £2 per child

Key Stage 2

Orienteering/Eco Passport

Spend a few hours exploring our site and using the landscape to hunt down all the markers and find the missing letters to the puzzle. While doing this activity, the group will learn more about the different elements on our site that allow us to be environmentally friendly.

Mini-beast Hunt

Our site is packed with bug homes and natural habitats, allowing nature to thrive. Have your class come and explore our site and hunt for all the wonderful mini-beasts we have around us. This session comes with information packs about different mini-beasts and activities to learn more about habitats and life cycles. £4 per child

Awesome Archaeology 

Who doesn’t like digging for treasure? This session allows children to step into the shoes of an archaeologist and find and handle an array of artefacts that have been found in the surrounding villages showing the historic development of the area.

 

Explorers Encounter

Spend the day enjoying nature while developing your bush skills. This day will include shelter building, foraging in the surrounding areas and fire lighting, ready to cook your lunch on. Please dress for the weather, as the majority of the day will be spent outside. £12.50 per child

Poetry Competition

Want to start the year off by getting your class excited for writing and poetry? The challenge is to write a poem about peace and remembrance for our Peace and Poetry Path. 

This competition is throughout many schools in the local area and is judged by a professional poet. The winning poem will be carved into the path for people to read for years to come.

Add a Tower Tour for £2 per class member to see the spectacular view of the county.

 

Inspired English

Come onto site and allow the tranquillity and beauty to inspire the writer within you. £3 per child.

Walk up the tower to see the breathtaking views for an extra £2 per child.

Geotrails

Walk through Clophill Village, exploring the landscape, geology and changes in land use over millions of years. 

 

Bring History to Life

Have fun while learning how St. Mary’s Old Church has developed over hundreds of years through practical activities, Drama and languages. Spend the day tracking back through time by becoming a Roman or a Norman Soldier in 1066.
