Clophill Heritage Trust is a small, local charity that focuses on restoring, protecting & promoting local heritage. We started work to restore old St. Mary's church in 2010 and have transformed it from a hazardous ruin to a beautiful picnic spot ideal for events, weddings, or just a picnic.
We have two staff members to take care of you during your visit, one lives on site, and the rest of our team is made up of volunteers.
The Eco Lodges opened in 2014 and are just across the track from the scheduled ancient monument. These accommodation lodges feature ground source heating and our own borehole for water among their eco credentials and we have one accessible lodge. Our site is dog friendly with stunning walks straight from your door. The Nest, our central lodge, is perfect for relaxing with views of the countryside to enjoy your breakfast or just a cup of tea.
We have a variety of locally made, natural products available for sale:
Raw honey & honeycomb from the bee hives at The Eco Lodges
Natural lip balm made from Eco Lodge beeswax, calendula & caster oil + cocoa butter
Natural body lotion bars made from Eco Lodge beeswax, calendula oil, lavender & ylang ylang
Daisy Bump Balm - daisies have the same healing properties as arnica and this natural, locally made balm is wonderful on any bumps & bruises
A variety of locally grown and made jams, chutneys, pickles and marmalade
"Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Very well run and cared for and they do a lot of weekend events where you can learn about seasonal skills. Unlike a lot of places they let you keep your dog in your room without any other cost."
"It was beautiful. The cabins are lovely, the area is fantastic, under floor heating and due to the heat they had even provided a fan in the room. Really enjoyed my stay."
"Peace and quiet and superbly well organised... thoroughly recommended as a place to stay that is a bit different - for the right reasons!"
